The Farm Tractor & Machinery Trade Association (FTMTA) was formed in 1913 and was originally called the Agricultural Implement Trade Association Ireland ltd. There are currently over 200 members of the association and it is managed by a group of 17 voluntary executive council members all of whom work in the industry either as owner/managers or senior officers in their respective companies.
Activities and Services of the FTMTA
- The Farm Tractor and Machinery Trade Association (FTMTA) is the national trade body of the Irish Farm Machinery Industry. The Association includes manufacturers, importers / distributors and retail dealers in its membership
- The Association is the recognised representative body for the Farm Machinery Industry, which negotiates and consults with government, farming organisations and other bodies in the interests of the sector
- The FTMTA provide an arbitration scheme for its members and their customers to use instead of taking legal action and facing long delays in the courts
