🚫 What’s Not Allowed
You may not advertise or sell the following on DoneDeal.ie:

Firearms, ammunition, airsoft or replica guns

Any kind of knife or sword (including collectibles and decorative blades)

Weapons, fireworks, or any related goods or accessories

Weapon components or parts (e.g. magazines, barrels, or triggers)
The only exception is gun safes, which are permitted.
⚖️ Legal Background
This policy complies with the Firearms and Offensive Weapons Act 1990 and subsequent amendments.
The Act prohibits a range of items, including but not limited to:
Flick knives, butterfly knives, knuckledusters, swordsticks, sword umbrellas, push daggers, belt buckle knives, hollow kubotans, shurikens (throwing stars), telescopic truncheons, sap gloves, machetes, blowpipes, and similar weapons.
Even though certain collectible knives or swords may be legal to own or sell privately in Ireland, DoneDeal chooses not to allow any type of knife, sword, or similar item to be listed. This avoids confusion and helps maintain a clear, safe experience for all users.
⚙️ Enforcement
If an ad is found to breach this policy, we reserve the right to:

Remove the ad without prior notice, and

Withhold or forfeit any fees paid for that listing.
Repeated or serious breaches may also result in account suspension or removal.
