What Is Not Allowed
The following items may not be advertised or sold on DoneDeal.ie:

Airsoft guns and replica guns
Any type of knife or sword (including collectible or decorative blades)
Weapons of any kind
Fireworks
Weapon-related goods or accessories
Weapon components or parts (e.g. magazines, barrels, triggers)
The only exception to this policy is gun safes, which are permitted.
Legal Background
This policy aligns with the Firearms and Offensive Weapons Act 1990 and subsequent amendments.
The Act prohibits a wide range of items, including but not limited to:
Flick knives
Butterfly knives
Knuckledusters
Swordsticks and sword umbrellas
Push daggers
Belt buckle knives
Hollow kubotans
Shurikens (throwing stars)
Telescopic truncheons
Sap gloves
Machetes
Blowpipes
Similar offensive weapons
While certain collectible knives or swords may be legal to own or sell privately in Ireland, DoneDeal does not permit any knives, swords or similar items to be listed on the platform. This approach avoids ambiguity and helps maintain a clear and safe experience for all users.
Enforcement
If an advertisement is found to breach this policy, DoneDeal reserves the right to:
Remove the ad without prior notice
Withhold or forfeit any fees paid for the listing
Repeated or serious breaches may result in:
Account restrictions
Suspension
Permanent removal from the platform
