Our Spotlight feature helps promote your ad on DoneDeal. Depending on the section of your ad you will be able to add it as an add-on or only as part of a premium bundle.
Spotlight ads appear in rotation at the top of the ad listings which greatly increases the views to your ad.
How does Spotlight work?
Spotlight places your advert into a rotating pool of listings that share the top three positions on the search results page. Each time a user loads or refreshes the page, the top three Spotlight positions reshuffle, giving all Spotlight listings a regular opportunity to appear prominently.
Your advert will appear in two places simultaneously: in one of the top three Spotlight positions when it rotates into view, and in its natural position in the listings at all times. This means you benefit from both increased visibility at the top of the page and your standard placement.
Please note that in busier sections or during peak periods, there may be a higher number of sellers using Spotlight at the same time. In these cases it may take a few page refreshes before your advert surfaces in one of the top three spots. This is normal and your listing is still active and rotating throughout.
How do I get my ad into the Spotlight?
You can select the Premium plan while placing your ad on DoneDeal. The price will vary depending on the section you're advertising in.
Alternatively, you can select the option to spotlight by Boosting your ad from the My Ads section of your DoneDeal account.
Please, bear in mind that it is mandatory to have at least one photo in order to place an ad in the Spotlight.
