Why do we require 2FA?
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) enhances account security by requiring an additional verification step, such as a one-time code sent via email or SMS. This ensures that even if your password is compromised, unauthorised access is prevented, protecting your account information.
What is 2FA?
2FA is a security measure that requires two forms of authentication, your password and a second factor like a code sent to your phone or email. This extra layer makes it much harder for unauthorised users to gain access to your account.
2FA via phone
When creating an account you will be required to verify your contact number. We have a number of technical algorithms in place and during future logins you may be required confirm your identity by performing 2FA. A verification code will be sent to your contact number that you must enter in order to complete the login process.
2FA via email
If you have an existing account and you have yet to verify your contact number. You may be required to verify your identify by completing 2FA via email. A verification code will be sent to your email address that you must enter in order to complete the login process.
Will I need to use 2FA each time I log in?
No, you won’t need to use 2FA every time. You will be required to complete 2FA verification when logging in on a new device or if 30 days have passed since your last 2FA verification on your current device. This balance ensures robust security for your account while minimising inconvenience during regular use.
What can I do if I cannot access my 2FA one-time passcode or account?
If you are unable to access your verified email or phone number to retrieve your one-time passcode, please reach out to our Customer Support Team via the Help Centre for assistance.
