To make DoneDeal a trusted place to buy and sell cars, we ask all motor dealers to follow these House Rules when posting ads. This helps ensure a smoother experience for buyers — and better-quality leads for you.
1. Don’t Leave Sold Ads Live
Ads that mention "sold" in the title, description, or images may be removed.
Please remove or update ads promptly when a car is sold.
Leaving sold listings live creates a poor experience for buyers.
2. Use the Correct Category
Car parts or accessories should be listed in the Parts & Accessories section - not in the Cars section.
Wanted ads should go in the Wanted section.
If a wanted ad is posted in the wrong section, it may be removed.
Repeated misuse may result in a warning or account restrictions.
3. Avoid Spam & Irrelevant Keywords
Only include relevant, accurate information about the listing for sale.
Do not add unrelated brand names or terms (e.g. “Toyota BMW Audi Mercedes”) to get more views.
Ads that include excessive or misleading keywords may be edited or removed.
4. Be Clear About Pricing
Ads must show a real asking price or clearly state POA (Price on Application).
Placeholder prices (like €1 or €1234) are not allowed and may lead to removal.
5. Don’t Post Duplicate Ads
Each listing should only have one active ad at a time.
Duplicate listings create confusion for buyers and may be removed.
Dealers who repeatedly post duplicate ads may receive a warning or have their account restricted.
6. Post Clear Professional Images
Make sure photos are professional and accurately represent what you are selling. Any ads that include images using emojis, poor quality text overlays, or include images that are misleading to the buyer will be taken down.
What Happens if Rules Are Broken?
We may edit or remove any ads that break these rules.
Dealers who repeatedly break the rules may be restricted from posting or suspended from the platform.
Please note that while your account is disabled, your subscription will remain active and billing will continue as normal.
