You don’t need to be sure it’s a scam. If something doesn’t feel right, it’s always okay to report it.
Where to find the report option
You can report a message directly within the DoneDeal Message Centre.
Each conversation includes a menu containing an option to Report User, making it quick and easy to flag an issue without leaving the chat.
How to report a message
Step 1: Open the conversation
Go to your DoneDeal Message Centre and open the conversation containing the message you want to report.
Step 2: Select “Report User”
Click the three dots menu option within the conversation and select Report User.
Step 3: Choose a reason
Select a category that best describes the issue at hand.
Step 4: Add details
You can add a short description explaining what raised concern.
Any extra context helps our team review the message more effectively.
Step 5: Submit
Once submitted, your report is sent directly to our specialist team.
What happens after you report
Our team reviews reported messages as a priority
If the message breaches our rules, we take action
This may include removing content or restricting the sender’s account
We may contact you for more information
Reports help us identify patterns and prevent similar scams affecting other users.
