If a user you’re chatting with is identified as high-risk, their account will be suspended — and any ongoing conversations they’ve started will automatically be blocked.
This helps protect genuine buyers and sellers from scams and unsafe interactions.

Show unusually strong interest in your item right away Ask to move the conversation off DoneDeal (e.g. to WhatsApp, email, or text) Request bank details, payment links, or personal information

When a conversation is suspended:
You’ll no longer be able to reply or contact that user. The chat will remain in your Message Centre for reference, but you can’t interact with it. Our Trust & Safety team reviews the flagged activity and takes further action if necessary.
This system helps keep your DoneDeal experience secure and scam-free.

Always keep communication within the DoneDeal Message Centre. Never share your bank details, passwords, or verification codes. If something feels off, report the ad or user immediately using the “Report” option.
