Choosing the correct category is important to ensure your ad reaches the right audience.
You can check which section your ad is listed in by viewing your Placed Ads within your DoneDeal account.
Sections and Subsections
Main sections are broken down into more specific subsections.
For example:
Cars & Motor is a main section.
Individual vehicle types are listed within more specific categories under that section.
Selecting the most accurate subsection helps buyers find your ad more easily.
Make Your Description Clear and Accurate
To ensure your ad appears in relevant searches:
Clearly reference the item type in your Brief Description.
Include accurate and detailed information in the Description section.
DoneDeal’s internal search engine uses the text in your ad to match buyer searches. If your ad does not contain accurate keywords or descriptions, it may not appear in search results when users use the search bar.
Being clear and specific increases visibility and reduces confusion.
Changing the Section After Posting
Once your ad has been placed, you cannot change its section yourself.
If you need to move your ad to a different category, please contact our Customer Support team and they will assist you.
