When you place an ad, we send a confirmation email to the email address on the account you were logged into during placement.
This email should arrive within a few minutes of placing your ad.
Why is my ad not live yet?
In some cases, your ad may not appear immediately after being placed or edited.
This is because ads can be flagged for a manual content review.
Manual Content Reviews
To help keep DoneDeal safe and high quality for all users, some ads are reviewed manually by our team.
This can happen when:
- An ad is first placed
- Changes or edits are made to an existing ad
- The category or placement of the ad is updated
If your ad is selected for review:
- It may not appear live immediately
- Our team will assess it to ensure it meets our guidelines
Reviews are handled on a queue basis, so timing can vary depending on volume.

Confirm You’re Logged Into the Correct Account
If you can no longer find the advert on your account, make sure you’re signed into the same account you used to place the ad.
If you registered for a DoneDeal account while using Apple’s “Hide My Email” feature, your account may be linked to an alias email address (for example, one ending in @privaterelay.appleid.com) rather than your personal email address.
To access the correct account:
Sign in using the “Continue with Apple” option.
Ensure Apple’s Hide My Email feature is still enabled for DoneDeal in your Apple ID settings.
If you disable this feature, you may not be able to access the account linked to that private relay address.
If you're unsure which email address is linked to your account, signing in again using Apple ID is usually the quickest way to access the correct profile.
