From time to time, users contact us looking for the phone number or contact details from an advert that has been deleted or removed.
Unfortunately, DoneDeal cannot provide contact details from deleted adverts.
This is in line with Irish data protection law, including the Data Protection Act 1988 (as amended), which protects individuals’ personal information.
Why This Rule Exists
When an advert is removed or deleted:
The seller’s personal data is no longer publicly available.
We are legally required to protect that information.
We cannot share phone numbers, email addresses, or any other identifying details without proper legal basis.
Even if you previously interacted with the advert, we are not permitted to disclose another user’s personal information.
Protecting user privacy is a core part of how we operate.
What You Can Do
If you are interested in an item and the advert is still live:
Contact the seller directly through the DoneDeal Message Centre.
Save the advert to your favourites so you can find it again easily.
If the advert has already been removed:
Unfortunately, we cannot reconnect you with the seller.
You may wish to continue searching for similar listings on the platform.
