If your phone number isn’t visible on your DoneDeal ad, it’s usually due to your contact preferences or how the ad appears when you’re viewing your own listing.
How contact options work
When creating an advert, you can choose how buyers contact you:
- Phone or text
- DoneDeal Message Centre
- Both options
If phone contact isn’t selected, the option to reveal your number will not appear on the ad.
How to update your contact preferences
You can change your contact options at any time:
- Go to My Ads
- Select the ad you want to update
- Click Edit
- Update your preferred contact method (phone, messages, or both)
- Save your changes
Why you might not see contact options on your own ad
If you’re viewing your own ad on the DoneDeal mobile app, you won’t see the “Contact Seller” options (including your phone number).
Instead, these are replaced with:
- Edit
- Boost
This is expected behaviour but can sometimes cause confusion. To see how your ad appears to buyers:
- View it from another account, or
- Open the ad in an incognito browser while logged out.
